We take a lot of care in naming these handlers, as we want our authors to be able to remember them, better still we want new authors to be bale to guess a handlers name.
The convention also encourages us to name command and functions differently. We name a handler according to what it does. We don't want two handlers to do exactly the same thing, nor does a function or a command behave exactly the same in Livecode.
So while it is technically possible to name a command and a function the same - the documentation in wiki ignores this difference - a handler is just is referred to by it's name and not the type of handler.
